The Pop Whalen Ice & Arts Center is operated as an Enterprise Fund by the Town of Wolfeboro and is host to many hockey leagues in the Lakes and Seacoast Regions including Back Bay Youth Hockey, She Wolves Women’s Hockey, Kingswood High School, Brewster Academy, The Co-Ed League, Men’s League, Senior Men’s League, Lakes Region Curling League, and more. The rink is also home to Wolfeboro Parks and Recreation lap skating, stick practice, and public skating hours.

Pop Whalen COVID Protocol Summary

2021-2022 Season

  • Coaches, Player and Spectators who have been in close contact or exposed to COVID 19 in the past 2 weeks or have symptoms consistent with COVID should not enter the facility.

  • Face Masks/Face Shields are required for those 12 and under in the facility, locker rooms, and on the ice. The Bubble mask is considered anapproved on ice mask.

  • The doors to the Rink will be locked and access to the facility will be granted 15 minutes prior to an event and participants must leave 15 minutes after the event.

  • The rink has a maximum capacity of 60 spectators;  and social distancing of 3 feet is required.

  • Congregating in the lobby is prohibited and is only a means of access to the bathrooms, vending machine, locker rooms, etc.

  • The snack bar is closed for the season, but the vending machine will be accessible.

  • Guidelines may change depending on the NH Carroll County transmission rate.
