Back Bay is a member and abides by the rules of USA Hockey, NH Amatuer Hockey Association (referred to as GSL) and Seacoast Hockey League.  We provide both instructional and travel hockey to youth within the region.
USA Hockey, Inc.  is the National Governing Body for the sport of ice hockey in the United States.  Its Mission is to promote the growth of hockey in America and provide the best possible experience for all members by encouraging, developing, advancing and administering the sport.
NHAHA (GSL): is a competitive hockey league within the State of NH, only the top 6 ranking teams in each tier have the opportunity for a playoff spot and the playoff winners have the opportunity to advance to additional rounds of Regional and possibly National Championship Tournaments.  Season comprises of approximately 20 games, plus tournament.

AAU:  The New England Amateur Hockey League (NEAHL) is part of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)--one of the largest non-profit, volunteer, multi-sport event organizations in the world. AAU has a single goal, "Sports for All, Forever."
Seacoast Hockey League:  is also a competitive hockey league and incorporates teams from NH and Southern ME.  All teams registered in the Seacoast League are bracketed in a year-end tournament, which is always very competitive.  Season comprises of approximately 14-20 games, plus tournament.
Back Bay offers LTS/LTP, Mini Mite Instructional, Travel Mites, Travel Squirts, Travel Peewee, Travel Bantam, and an all-new Girls Practice Program.  We will also be hosting recreational Pond Hockey.  All programs (except for the Girls Practice Program, which is available to girls only) are available to both boys and girls.
Membership Fees:
Back Bay is a complete volunteer organization.  Your registration fees pay for ice rental, league fees, game officials, pucks, first aid kits, goalie equipment and other incidentals.
All coaches are volunteer positions; however, Back Bay strides to evaluate and appoint the best coaching staff to each team.  All coaches are required to attend the requisite amount of training as required and are patched by USA Hockey.
Parent Meeting:
At the beginning of each season, a Parent Meeting is held to go over the basic rules of the Association in addition to any team rules or expectations that the coach may have.  The meeting will be attended by the immediate player parents or guardians, the coaching staff and, at least one member of the Board of Directors.  This is an open forum so please ask questions.
USA Hockey adopted ADM (American Development Model) approximately 5 years ago, Back Bay also believes in the ADM model and we do our best to incorporate ADM into our practices and coaching philosophy.  For more information on ADM, please go to  under education and training tab.
